Life is fragile.  Painted as an expression of being held together in the moment of tragedy, we are held together by threads.  In our brokenness we are in relationship with one another, one heart torn apart, the other affected by the brokenness, both intertwined.  Behind our own experience is the strength of Christ and his own suffering.  The pure white cross behind the hearts represents the Christ Light.  Providing light in the darkness, the presence of Christ in our lives, it is not by our strength but His that we are held together.
