Mercy

With Hurricane Harvey ripping through the Texas coast and eyes on Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean and threatening Florida we often wonder where is God.  Remembering He is with us always, til the end of time eases our fears.  Where do we go when we are afraid.  To our knees and to His word.

Mercy was painted between Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.  I felt it might resonate with some at this time.  Even in disasters which wipe away human construction and take away lives, Christ, represented by The Cross, has mercy.  In the darkest of times God reigns.  Our Lord has mercy.

“You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.”  Psalm 68:9 & 10
